Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA-ultra-micronized palmitoylethanolamide)
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is an endogenous fatty acid amide. PEA reduces pain and inflammation. This supplement has been found to be safe even in higher amounts. PEA is found in some foods such as egg yolks.
Conditions for which ultra-micronized PEA has shown beneficial effects across human and animal studies include:
For best results I recommend taking it with foods containing a small amount of oils or healthy fats.

Recommended dosage (350mg - 400mg capsule):
Small dogs and cats - (up to 22 lbs) 1/2 to 1 capsule twice daily.
Medium dogs - (23-54 lbs) 1 capsule twice daily.
Large dogs - (55+ lbs) 2 to 3 capsules twice daily.
How long does it take PEA to start working?
PEA can also help reduce reliance on stronger pain medications that cause unwanted side effects. Maximum benefit could take up to 3 months but results are typically seen in 4-6 weeks. Sometimes in only days you begin to see a change.
There is a supplement out there for dogs called Redonyl Ultra.
They are soft chews.
This is the ingredients:
Alpha Linolenic Acid (Flaxseed Oil): 144 mg
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA): 100 mg
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA): 3.9 mg
Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA): 3.4 mg
Inactive Ingredients:
Corn Starch, Emulsifier, Glycerine, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Magnesium Stearate, Boric Acid, Dicalcium Phosphate, Marine Lipid Concentrates, Molasses Flavor, Propylene Glycol, Sucrose, Vegetable Oil.
Check out those horrible inactive ingredients. This is why I do not like many pet products. They just don’t care what they put in that stuff. I would avoid these and buy human supplements such as Cornerstone Pea-EZ (Palmitoylethanolamide) Capsules.
Alternate choice
Third choice
Buy ONLY the micronized or ultra-micronized palmitoylethanolamide.
